More scrapy than a scrap

Thu Mar 12, 2009, 7:39 PM
Too short to even be posted as a scrap. Part of a story. I write it up here because I know it will make Ryia happy. I like making her happy. Oh, and a point to who can identify the play referenced! You know what... another point to who can figure out who the princess is...

1780

There was a sharp rumble and a young man exploded from the dark place, nearly falling on his way. He had a wild bewildered look about him that matched his wild red hair. He was dressed in a non-descript pair of trousers and evidently tangled in a large number or scarves from the wardrobe. His green eyes darted around the room before settling on the startled seven year old, standing before her desk and looking something between bemused and terrified.

"Who are you? Where am I? When am I?" he demanded, brandishing a weapon of curved metal and springs.

"I'm Antoine, this is my room and you were in my dressing wardrobe." She stuck a petulant chin out at him, blue eyes sharp. "But who are you, sir speak!"

"I am a pirate!"

The child gasped, her hands clenching over her diaphragm. "A pirate? Horror!"

"It worked." The red head breathed in shock and satasfaction.

"Wait. You're not a pirate! You have no ship, you're not near water and you're using my undergarments as a weapon." The girl pointed at the odd assymblage of iron in his hands.

"Underware?!? You wear THIS for Underware?!" He shook his head in surprise, dropping the heap at his feet. "And you're right. I'm not a pirate... It's just my friend's been making me watch this musical... and you said the line so perfect..." he rubbed the back of his neck, blushing hard. "I guess I got carried away.

One more try... I'd like to catch up with you while I'm home, if that's possible. I'm flying out Friday (early), so if you can do something before then, please let me know ASAP.
:iconailill-cherry:
My play is going on this week in Huntsville if you want to see it. Um... Yeah. I'll be in town briefly on Thrusday before an eye appointment.
:iconkailyia:
I'm flying out Friday, or I would come. If we can meet up Thursday, that would be awesome. I'm not sure I have your cell number anymore... do you have mine?
:iconailill-cherry:
281 961 0055... can't find my phone. Should be around here somewhere...

Anyhow my parents are seeing the play Thursday night. I think my friends from college are too. I'm so proud of my work! Thursday would be early early Thursday morning.
:iconkailyia:
All right. I'll get to bed, and you call me when you get up here. There should be someone around (me at the least) and I'd love to see you.
:iconkailyia:
*pokes* I'm not sure how else to get in contact with you...

I'm heading back on Tuesday. I tried getting in touch with you, but you never responded. I'd like to see you before I leave again.

*om nom noms*

Not sure how else to get in touch with you... we'll be coming to RenFest on the day after Thanksgiving. You'll be there, right? (I can always call you Wednesday or Thursday to set things up.)
:iconailill-cherry:
Yay! I WILL be there!

Hello, fellow deviant!

I figured I'd stop by your page and check out a few things from your gallery. A few of your pieces are quite interesting to look at. Well, I hope you keep up the good work and continue to rake in watchers. Have fun on D.A.!
